Pre-built mesh libraries, the MERRILL user manual, and workshop materials for hands-on micromagnetic modelling

The mesh libraries here span the grain-size and aspect-ratio ranges used across published MERRILL studies — suitable for single-domain, vortex-state, and pseudo-single-domain modelling. For scripting reference, the user manual is the authoritative guide to input syntax, material parameter conventions, and all supported simulation protocols.

MERRILL user manual

The MERRILL manual covers the full scripting language, material parameter conventions, meshing requirements, and all supported simulation protocols. Recommended reading before running anything beyond Tutorial 1.

Pre-built mesh library

Ready-to-use PATRAN-format tetrahedral meshes for common grain geometries, meshed at 3–9 nm node spacing. Each set covers a range of elongation ratios (E00 = equidimensional through E50 = strongly elongated). Use these to skip meshing and go straight to running MERRILL scripts. See the Meshes README for full geometry specifications.
